Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Jiutong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Beijing in June 2014. In the Chinese Art auction, the work Secret Within A Secret sold for CNY 837,800.00 (€ 98,651.10) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 360,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Jiutong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mountain Against Island sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in Beijing einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Secret Within A Secret für CNY 837.800,00 (€ 98.651,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 360.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
