Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Restless Forest by Liu Jiutong was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It changed hands for a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 40,690.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Jiutong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Against Island in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Restless Forest von Liu Jiutong wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 40.690,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
