The work Fishing the Moon and Logging the Clouds by Liu Jiutong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 687,500.00 (€ 65,182.64), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jiutong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountain Against Island, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).

Die Arbeit Fishing the Moon and Logging the Clouds von Liu Jiutong wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 65.182,64) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mountain Against Island beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90) versteigert wurde.
