The work The Indoor Playroom by Liu Hongwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 235,500.00 (€ 20,587.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 57%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Hongwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piggy Toy, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).

Die Arbeit The Indoor Playroom von Liu Hongwei kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 235.500,00 (€ 20.587,01) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 57%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piggy Toy beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00) versteigert wurde.
