Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Childhood Diary Series: Red Wall And White Cloud by Liu Hongwei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,048.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piggy Toy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Childhood Diary Series: Red Wall And White Cloud von Liu Hongwei kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.048,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piggy Toy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00).
