Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life by Liu Hongwei was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The price achieved of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 31,994.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Hongwei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piggy Toy, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Liu Hongwei wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 31.994,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 250.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piggy Toy beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00) versteigert wurde.
