Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Afternoon; Partner by Liu Hongwei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. The price achieved of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 13,711.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piggy Toy in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Afternoon; Partner von Liu Hongwei kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 13.711,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piggy Toy im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00).
