Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reading Yi Jing On An Autumn Night by Liu Du was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,506.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Du have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Landscape in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 116,713.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reading Yi Jing On An Autumn Night von Liu Du kam im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.506,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Du auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Landscape im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 116.713,00).
