Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Du achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Boat Ride sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,826.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Du - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 116,713.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Du erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Boat Ride für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.826,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Du mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 116.713,00) versteigert wurde.
