This work without title by Ling Jian was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2015. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 28,199.75), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ling Jian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ling Jian wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 28.199,75) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ling Jian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47).
