Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ling Jian could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Revolution Madonna changed hands for HKD 680,000.00 (€ 67,695.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ling Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ling Jian konnte im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Revolution Madonna für HKD 680.000,00 (€ 67.695,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ling Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47) versteigert wurde.
