Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Internationale Iii by Ling Jian for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,853.77). This price was achieved in the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 220,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ling Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Internationale Iii von Ling Jian für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.853,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 220.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ling Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47).
