In February 2014 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Ling Jian. The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,397.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ling Jian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2014 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ling Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 36.397,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ling Jian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47).
