Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peony by Ling Jian was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The price achieved of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,258.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ling Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peony von Ling Jian wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.258,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ling Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47) versteigert wurde.
