Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shadow, Self Portrait, Sussex by Linda McCartney was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 2,540.00 (€ 2,403.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Linda McCartney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Love, London, 1978 in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shadow, Self Portrait, Sussex von Linda McCartney wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.540,00 (€ 2.403,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Linda McCartney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Love, London, 1978 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.250,84).
