In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work John Lennon, London, 1969 by Linda McCartney. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,250.84), 63% above the upper estimate. This high result makes John Lennon, London, 1969 the most expensive artwork by Linda McCartney that we have observed at auctions so far.
