Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work On A Balcony, Charleston, South Carolina by Lilla Cabot Perry for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,097.18). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lilla Cabot Perry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl Reading A Book in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 126,071.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On A Balcony, Charleston, South Carolina von Lilla Cabot Perry für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.097,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lilla Cabot Perry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl Reading A Book im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 126.071,61).
