This artwork by Lilla Cabot Perry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2015. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Scent Of Roses sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,716.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lilla Cabot Perry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Girl Reading A Book in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 126,071.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lilla Cabot Perry erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit The Scent Of Roses für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.716,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lilla Cabot Perry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Girl Reading A Book im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 126.071,61).
