Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The Golfer by Lilla Cabot Perry for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,695.40). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lilla Cabot Perry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl Reading A Book in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 126,071.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Golfer von Lilla Cabot Perry für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.695,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lilla Cabot Perry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl Reading A Book im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 126.071,61).
