The work Face No. 16 by Li Yongbin was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 16,063.67), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Yongbin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Face, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 38,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Face No. 16 von Li Yongbin wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 16.063,67) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Yongbin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Face beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert wurde.
