Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Face by Li Yongbin was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,529.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Li Yongbin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2007 the work Face was auctioned for EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Face von Li Yongbin wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.529,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Li Yongbin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2007 die Arbeit Face für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert.
