Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Face by Li Yongbin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,743.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Yongbin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Face, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 38,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Face von Li Yongbin kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.743,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Yongbin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Face beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert wurde.
