The work Self-Portrait by Li Yongbin was sold in the The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,690.37), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Yongbin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Face in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 38,400.00.

Die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Li Yongbin wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.690,37) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Yongbin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Face im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 38.400,00.
