Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Face No. 5 by Li Yongbin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,035.56), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Yongbin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Face, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 38,400.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Face No. 5 von Li Yongbin kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.035,56) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Yongbin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Face beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert wurde.
