Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dinner by Li Wei was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,825.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Wei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,310.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dinner von Li Wei kam im Oktober 2007 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.825,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Wei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Freedegree Over 29Th Story, Soho, Beijing, 2003 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.310,49) versteigert wurde.
