Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Someday My Prince Will Come by Li Songsong was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 173,000.00 (€ 238,541.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Songsong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work National Geographic, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
