Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Wish for Longevity (diptych) by Li Songsong. The price achieved of HKD 1,071,000.00 (€ 119,133.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Songsong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Geographic in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wish for Longevity (diptych) von Li Songsong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.071.000,00 (€ 119.133,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Songsong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Geographic im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 562.860,72).
