Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Songsong could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Big Shot'S Afternoon changed hands for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,498.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Songsong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Geographic in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
