This artwork by Lewis Carroll achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2004. In the 19TH & 20TH CENTURY PHOTOGRAPHS auction, the work Frederica Harriette Morrell, 1874 sold for GBP 2,031.50 (€ 2,922.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lewis Carroll achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alexandra Kitchin in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lewis Carroll erzielte im November 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19TH & 20TH CENTURY PHOTOGRAPHS wurde die Arbeit Frederica Harriette Morrell, 1874 für GBP 2.031,50 (€ 2.922,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lewis Carroll erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alexandra Kitchin im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.431,65).
