In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work Frederica Harriette Morrell, 1874 by Lewis Carroll. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,585.88), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lewis Carroll achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alexandra Kitchin in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frederica Harriette Morrell, 1874 von Lewis Carroll zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.585,88) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lewis Carroll erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alexandra Kitchin im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.431,65).
