Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 1 + 1 no. 3 by Les Levine was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 400.00 – 600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 179.25 (€ 108.64). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Les Levine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel (Change your mind, feel time, intimate touch) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 2,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 1 + 1 no. 3 von Les Levine im September 2003 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 179,25 (€ 108,64) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Les Levine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Change your mind, feel time, intimate touch) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.375,00.
