Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sans titre (Create yourself - STOP AIDS) by Les Levine was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 562.00. Admittedly, works by Les Levine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ohne Titel (Change your mind, feel time, intimate touch) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 2,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sans titre (Create yourself - STOP AIDS) von Les Levine im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 562,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Les Levine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Change your mind, feel time, intimate touch) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.375,00.
