Despite a disappointment, a good price for Leonard Freed
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected images from Police Work by Leonard Freed for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs Evening & Day at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Selected images from Police Work is the most expensive artwork by Leonard Freed that we have observed at auction so far.
