Auction result well in line with expectations
The work „Leipzig, East Germany“. by Leonard Freed was auctioned at Grisebach in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonard Freed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images from Police Work in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit „Leipzig, East Germany“. von Leonard Freed kam im Mai 2017 bei Grisebach zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Freed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images from Police Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
