The work 'Oedipus in Exile' by Leonard Baskin was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2010. It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,862.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonard Baskin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Isaacangel sold at auction in June 2000 with the realized price of USD 18,800.00 (€ 19,696.18).

Die Arbeit 'Oedipus in Exile' von Leonard Baskin kam im März 2010 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.862,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leonard Baskin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Isaacangel im Juni 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 19.696,18).
