Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Leon Tarasewicz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Untitled, Three Part Painting sold for USD 88,200.00 (€ 74,342.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leon Tarasewicz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Triptychon) sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of EUR 81,250.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leon Tarasewicz erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wurde die Arbeit Untitled, Three Part Painting für USD 88.200,00 (€ 74.342,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leon Tarasewicz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Triptychon) im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 81.250,00.
