Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,815.11). Admittedly, works by Leon Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Messenger (Man With Kites) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,376.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Hermione, The Gypsy von Leon Kelly kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.815,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Messenger (Man With Kites) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.376,17).
