The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,376.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Messenger (Man With Kites) is the most expensive artwork by Leon Kelly that we have observed at auctions so far.
