Upper estimate price exceeded by 51 %.
The work Urga Horses by Leon Shulman Gaspard was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,490.94), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
