In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Portrait of Marc Chagall by Leon Shulman Gaspard. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,940.00 (€ 23,190.93), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Marc Chagall von Leon Shulman Gaspard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 23.190,93) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Shulman Gaspard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Finish of the Kermesse im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.001.000,00 (€ 1.362.336,60).
