Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Snowy Day in a Russian Village by Leon Shulman Gaspard was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 88,200.00 (€ 82,191.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
