Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection, which included the work Mongolian Boy by Leon Shulman Gaspard. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,103.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
