In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Costume Designs For "The Mayor & Leporello From Don Juan Rejected": A Pair by Léon Bakst for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,055.17). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bakst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dancer In Costume in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 624,000.00 (€ 926,659.53).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Bakst erzielen.
