Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Costume Design for Ethel Levey in Hullo, Tango! by Léon Bakst was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,011.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bakst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dancer In Costume in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 624,000.00 (€ 926,659.53).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.011,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
