In the The Russian Sale auction, the work Study for 'The Fairy Carnation' from The Sleeping Princess, 1921 unframed sold for GBP 7,650.00 (€ 9,124.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bakst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dancer In Costume in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 624,000.00 (€ 926,659.53).

In der Auktion The Russian Sale wurde die Arbeit Study for 'The Fairy Carnation' from The Sleeping Princess, 1921 unframed für GBP 7.650,00 (€ 9.124,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Bakst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dancer In Costume im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 624.000,00 (€ 926.659,53).
