Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Costume Design for the Lilac Fairy in La Belle au Bois Dormant by Léon Bakst. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,745.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bakst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dancer In Costume in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 624,000.00 (€ 926,659.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Costume Design for the Lilac Fairy in La Belle au Bois Dormant von Léon Bakst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.745,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Bakst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dancer In Costume im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 624.000,00 (€ 926.659,53).
