Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a Woman by Leo Gestel was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,468.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gestel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gladiolen in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 638,652.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a Woman von Leo Gestel kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.468,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gestel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gladiolen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 638.652,94).
