Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Leo Gestel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction, the work Landschap (Landscape) sold for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 47,768.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gestel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gladiolen in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 638,652.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leo Gestel erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online wurde die Arbeit Landschap (Landscape) für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 47.768,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gestel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gladiolen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 638.652,94).
