Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landschap Bergen (Mountain Landscape) by Leo Gestel was sold in the Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,269.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gestel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gladiolen in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 638,652.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landschap Bergen (Mountain Landscape) von Leo Gestel wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.269,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gestel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gladiolen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 638.652,94).
