Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Wake Up Alone by Leo Gabin for GBP 250.00 (€ 296.88). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Braid Tutorial in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,614.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wake Up Alone von Leo Gabin für GBP 250,00 (€ 296,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Braid Tutorial im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.614,82).
